Donald Trump<\/span><\/span> said this week that the United States had received what he described as a \u201cvery large\u201d and valuable \u201cgift\u201d from Iran<\/span><\/span>, despite ongoing tensions between the two nations.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the White House, he suggested the development was linked to oil and gas activity near the Strait of Hormuz<\/span><\/span>, though he did not provide clear details.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re going to make a deal. Yesterday, they did something incredible\u2014they gave us a present, and it arrived today. A very big one, worth a huge amount,\u201d he said, describing it as a positive sign in ongoing interactions.<\/p>\n

He also claimed that Iran had agreed it would \u201cnever develop a nuclear weapon,\u201d adding that the U.S. is in a strong position in the region.<\/p>\n
