To celebrate the United States\u2019 250th anniversary in July 2026, a special commemorative passport is expected to be issued as part of the nationwide festivities.<\/p>\n
This limited-edition passport will include distinctive patriotic design elements, such as a portrait of President Donald Trump and a gold-colored signature. Inside, one of the pages is expected to feature artwork of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The cover will reportedly display bold gold lettering reading \u201cUnited States of America,\u201d while the back is set to include the American flag along with a \u201c250\u201d anniversary emblem surrounded by stars.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. State Department, the commemorative passport will only be available through select in-person applications in Washington, D.C., during the Independence Day celebration period. Production will be limited, with an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 units planned.<\/p>\n
Applicants who apply by mail, online, or outside Washington, D.C. will still receive the standard passport design instead of the special edition.<\/p>\n
Officials note that although the commemorative version will feature enhanced artwork and collectible design details, it will retain the same security features and full travel validity as the standard passport. No additional fee will be required to obtain it.<\/p>\n
