A taxi driver picks up a nun and, during the ride, keeps glancing at her through the rearview mirror. After a while, she notices and gently asks if something is bothering him.
Hesitantly, he apologizes, saying he’s unsure how to bring it up without offending her. She reassures him with a warm smile, saying that very little could shock her given her life and calling.
Encouraged, he admits that he has always had a private fantasy of kissing a nun. For a moment, she falls silent, then calmly replies that such a thing would only be possible under certain conditions: he must be single and Catholic.
Excited, he quickly agrees that he meets both requirements. She then instructs him to take the next turn into a quiet alley.
What follows appears to fulfill his desire, but shortly after, the driver becomes overwhelmed with guilt and breaks down in tears. When she asks what’s wrong, he confesses that he had lied—he is actually married and not Catholic.
The nun looks at him for a moment, then responds with a calm and knowing smile, revealing an unexpected twist in the situation.
