The Gosselin family, once made famous by Jon & Kate Plus 8, is back in the spotlight years after the show ended, as new revelations and ongoing tensions continue to reshape their story.
The series, which began in 2007, followed Jon and Kate Gosselin raising twins and sextuplets in Pennsylvania and quickly became a major hit for TLC. However, their marriage collapsed in 2009 amid public controversy and divorce, after which the show continued as Kate Plus 8. Kate retained primary custody of the children, though two of the sextuplets, Hannah and Collin, later moved in with Jon.
Over the years, the family’s private struggles became public discussion, especially regarding Collin’s upbringing. While Kate said he had behavioral issues and needed specialized care, Collin has since claimed he suffered abuse and mistreatment during his childhood, allegations that have deeply divided public opinion.
Jon has also spoken openly about the breakdown of the marriage, describing it as emotionally difficult and blaming personality conflicts for much of the strain. He has since rebuilt his life and remarried in 2025, though only two of his children attended the ceremony.

The most attention, however, has shifted to Collin, who has announced a forthcoming memoir in which he plans to share his version of events in detail. He has also publicly challenged his mother’s account of their family history, intensifying renewed debate about what really happened behind the scenes.
